I closed the year 2023 in the north of Spain, in the beautiful city of Donosti-San Sebastian. I love doing «internal tourism», Spain has so much to offer, so many different sights, from one end to the other the cultures are so different, and each place is full of so much history, art, gastronomy. I am definitely in love with this country and I love being able to discover and delve into its cities, its streets, its people.
The elegance of the bay of San Sebastian, framed by Mount Igueldo and the island of Santa Clara. An elegant city, but above all recognized for its gastronomic specialty: pintxos, scene of film celebrations, simply spectacular.
It finally happened, and we couldn’t have closed the year in the best way, overlooking the bay, with great weather (believe it or not) and eating in great company.
Great views of the city

We start the trip from the heights, the magnificent views from Monte Igueldo, where there is an amusement park that has been standing since 1912 and from where you can appreciate the city from the heights, as well as enjoy its attractions, a plan that you definitely could not miss if you visit San Sebastian.
We also went up the Ferris wheel, excellent plan and another perspective of the city, highly recommended!
We could not miss the walking tour of the city, I always recommend doing it, walking the streets of a place understanding the history of each corner, the reason for the sweets that appear in the windows of the cafes and the recommendations of the must-see places from where to see the city from other perspectives.
I hope you are enjoying these images of this beautiful city as much as I am. What do you think of this lady entering the water on January 1st despite the cold? I thought it was a beautiful ritual, no doubt the sea cleanses, purifies and inspires. I would have loved to go into the water at that moment too.
Pintxos: a gastronomic world to discover
I was in this city in autumn 2018, it was a very short walk discovering the Basque Country. I always stayed with the desire to return, to delve into its streets and to make a real tasting of the famous gastronomy of this region.
I would love for this to be a blog where I share with you exactly the bar route we did, but I’m here to tell you about my experience, to show you through my photographs a little bit of how bar culture is lived in this city.
We tried a variety of Pintxos, but without a doubt my favorites were the ones with seafood, the quality of the fresh product is evident.
I am sure I will come back to this city, and next time I promise to make a photo album of everything I tasted.I was so busy enjoying it, that I didn’t manage to take a picture of every pintxo, besides, I’m getting used to taking more pictures, and that’s why I created this blog.
To close, I leave here a reel that I made in my instagram personal account where I invite you to see how my experience was 🙂
A mí también me encanta ese país, y el turismo internacional, hermosas fotografías, gracias por compartir tus experiencias de viajes, es una forma de tener uno la idea de cada lugar, obviamente que invitan para ir a visitar…me encanta!
